First Grafh signed to the ROC, then they announce they also got NORE. Dame is sure working hard on maintaining his Dynasty.
Grafh has been my favorite new jack to listen to on mixtapes. "The Oracle" tape he did with Green Lantern was better than some albums I've heard lately, and should win him best mixtape of the year (unless he takes it). So, when Grafh got dropped left Sony Records I was hella disappointed. I thought it would be a long time before I would get to hear his debut album, titled Autografh. Now that he's down with the ROC I'm even less happy. Dude is destined to get lost in the mad house shuffle of M.O.P., Dirt McGirt, State Property, Dip Set, Posh Spice, and everyone else who's waiting for their album to drop.
Another problem for Grafh is Roc-a-fella's production void that has been left by Kanye becoming a high priced star, and Just Blaze working on his own projects. Maybe Dame should hold off on signing emcees and line up some quality heatmakers.
I have nothing really to say about NORE. If he decides to keep doing his reggaeton thing on the ROC it could really mean something for that *new* genre. Which would kinda make my prediction about reggae come true.
To my (and I'm sure many other peoples) surprise, The Roc ain't been too good with their artists. Take Jigga out of the equation, and they aren't all that different from alot of the Indie artists out there. All being signed to the Roc really gets you is a (possibly half-hearted)guest appearance by Jigga.

And a shiny Roc chain...But for real they better not sit on that kid Grafh, he's definitely got that fire.

First off, if Jay-Z really starts a Sean Carter label via Warner, I think things will look pretty bleak for the Roc.
On another note, Reggaeton, ain't really all that new. Just do a search for Tego Calderon, and then think back to the 80s when they had Reggae Espanol. Same spirit, different flavor. The kind of sound, like even what Pitbull does, has been popular in Miami for quite some time - it's simply that artists didn't have big label record deals or big promotion budgets. It's a local flavor - and you can check for sounds in Cuba and the DR for examples.
Hip-hop purists, and East and West Coast is mad funny too me sometimes b/c it doesn't realize that this other things exist - like hip hop mixed with bollywood - until Jay-Z or Erick Sermon, or whomever else made it popular. We've got Bhangra here, and kids in India and London, have been doing that sort of mash-up thing for a hot minute now.

The Alchemist :hip hop producer
May have one of the hottest albums to hit the streets in years.
Featuring Mobb Deep, Nas, G Unit, Jadakiss, M.O.P, Cypress Hill just to name a few.
Sounds like a must buy.

yo i think that since the roc has such an "allstar lineup",so to speak, they should be a billion dollar corp. but i know for me i heard twista was on the roc, and then i was like "oh, okay whatever" cause if that nigga signed wit a country music label i still would've copped his album, and it prolly woulda came out sooner. now the roc got cats like grafh and nore, its like man now we gonna have to wait forever for them niggas albums to drop. ... and honestly jigga is coo, but i really i dont wanna hear him on grafh album or nore's. just my opinion it'll prolly change in a hour or so...im out.~1~

Nas is another nigga that interest me with his lyrics.the soft spoken raps and the sweety rhymes is off jay-z's hook.I have heared somuch about the berf talk and i feel the two rappers belong to two separate world.Simple put, Nas raps hardcord while Jay-z raps f.e.l.a.

Yo, I just gotta let ya know REGGAETON has been around for eva'!!! Do a search on Tego Calderon, Esa Cubana Mey Vidal, DJ Boricua, Vico C, Chezina, Medico, Candyman, the list goes on! What happens is that most reggaeton artists are underground and unsigned.
